- The collection consists of the papers of Calvin Kytle from 1947-1980. The papers include case and project files relating to Calvin Kytle Associates, the public relations and public interest consulting firm Kytle founded. Included are press releases, promotional material, collected printed material, publicity, brochures, correspondence, and speeches. - Biographical/Historical Note:
- Calvin Kytle, executive and public relations consultant, was an executive with the Nationwide Insurance Companies of Columbus, Ohio. He served as vice president for public relations and advertising from 1957-1964. Kytle's later positions included Acting Director and Deputy Director of the U.S. Community Relations Service, consultant to the Ford Foundation, information director for Urban America, Inc., and executive vice president for the Washington-based public relations firm, David Apter and Associates. In 1969, Kytle established his own firm, Calvin Kytle Associates.
