- The collection consists of papers Zechariah Worrell from 1801-1958. The bulk of the collection (1801-1813) consists of a holograph volume of verses (1805) completed by Worrell while serving as an itinerate Methodist minister in Ireland, a holograph volume of poetry (1813) including original verses and those Worrell copied from other sources; and Worrell's journal (1801) which depicts the day-to-day problems and pleasures of the Irish circuit rider's life. Also consists of correspondence (1956-1958) regarding efforts of John C. Stephens to publish Worrell's poems and a copy of published poems. The collection also contains two microfilm reels containing newspaper sources.
