- Ada Fort, Dean of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University from 1950 to 1975, led the school through growth in enrollment, expansion of programs, and integration of the student body. She has received numerous awards and honorary degrees, won a fellowship from the National League of Nursing (1955), and was named Atlanta's Woman of the Year in the Professions (1970).
