Egmont's journal, Dec. 1, 1740 (colonial rec. of Ga., v. 5 (1908) p. 410) mentions the "Impartial account of the state of the colony, prepared by our secretary [Benjamin Martyn]"; Dec. 6 (ibid.) "... Our secys Impartial account of Georgia". It has also been attributed to John Perceval, first earl of Egmont. Cf.
