Massachusetts Governor Lincoln sent the Legislature a resolution forwarded to him by the Governor of Alabama from Alabama's Legislature. On December 11, 1830, the Alabama Legislature declared that Andrew Jackson had done an exemplary job as president and should be elected as president again.
