Biographical/Historical Note:: Gabriel Fitzmaurice was born December 7, 1952 in Moyvane, County Kerry Ireland. He received a teaching degree from Mary Immaculate College of Educaiton and began teaching school in 1972. His first book of poetry, Rainsong was published in 1984 and has continued to publish poetry and children's books, as well as work as an editor and a translator. Fitzmaurice won the Gererd Manley Hopkins Award in 1989.
Ownership and Custodial History:: Purchased from Kenny's Bookshop and Gallery in 2020 and in 2024.
